We're Doofuses (If There Is Such A Word)

I had a cursory glance at our hopes and wishes for the year 2009.

We have at various points

(1) wished to make ras malai (Bon)
(2) asked for Wen to have a better memory (Bets. And Wen herself wahahaa)
(3) prayed for strength to finish all three Lord of the Rings movies at a go (LOL, of course, it was Bon)
(4) declared herself a genius in guacamole and mapo tofu-making (Wen)
(5) accused Carol of being a blog stalker (Wen, who in her defense, REALLY had one before mah. How she know! Sorry la)
(6) wished for good sex (everyone, hahahahahahaha!)
(7) congratulated selves for making asian girl poses in No 5 (Ching)
(8) declared this a new era of positive blogging then forgot her blogger password (Who else but Ching)
(9) called the Universe, Mr Sweet Universe (way to go Bets, never hurts to use a little flattery)
(10)asked for work to be magically done (Bon and Wen, who can never be accused of industriousness)
(11) thanked the Universe for her toy bear(Bets. wah lau eh)
(12) asked for many, many, MANY holidays (everyone. Of course noone can top Bets, who called herself a Spartan)
(13) decided one of her life's goals was to pluck tapioca and carrot from the roots (Bon, who was possibly a farmer in her previous life)


LOLOL I could go on but you get the drift. We asked for joy in the infinitesimal. Celebrated the small things.

But then we also asked for abundance, love, beauty, laughter and the absolute attainment of happiness.
