I Also Want
- Have a house that's surrounded by humungous mountains and gorgeous greenery. Where the sunrise seems so near you can touch it.
- Fall head over heels in love. Stay there.
- Jump from a plane with a parachute. What's it called? <<>
Since Bon Did This & I'm a Copycat
- Go to the Galapagos Island and have a chat with them giant turtles. Maybe one will let me have a ride!
- Get a dog. While this may seem like a very easy task, it requires one to get their life in order, so you can keep said pup alive, content and happy. So. I don't have one yet.
- Have a house that's surrounded by humungous mountains and gorgeous greenery. Where the sunrise seems so near you can reach up and touch it.
- Fall head over heels in love. Stay there. Cos when you fall, it's best to just lie there till you catch your breath. And who would want to catch their breath when it's run away for such a good reason?
- Get to that wondrous meditative state where you can just be happy. For more than a minute at a go.
- Be able to teach ashtanga if I so choose. Do them headstands for more than 50 breaths.
- Cook a meal worthy of a michelin star chef, for the ones I love. Plated to perfection.
- Open a bookstore filled with books I like to read
- Jump from a plane with a parachute. What's it called?
- Write a book that actually gets published
My To Do List (also cross posted in my personal blog lol)
- travel extensively. Lol ok this is quite vague. Naturally, if I had the opportunity to travel to every country in the world, I would. (Alright, I'll list 'em out.)
- travel to Tibet. There's something about the Himalayas that just draws us to keep going back. Hopefully, my citizenship application goes through and I'll be able to go next year.
- backpack around Europe, alone. This was supposed to be my grand holiday for 2011, as a birthday present to my 30 year old self. I think everyone should try traveling alone at least once in their life. I've not worked out the logistics for the Europe backpacking trip yet though, and knowing me, it'll probably be largely unplanned.
- see snow. I've never seen snow! But apparently snowflakes aren't as magical as the movies make them out to be. Lol.
- travel to the US. Honestly, the States isn't really a country that I yearn to go. In fact, if it wasn't for the fact that my sister is moving there, it wouldn't even be so high up on the list. Too many other interesting countries to visit.
- travel to some country that ends with -stan or something like that. You know, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan etc. I think it'd be fun.
- eventually travel to Japan (haha and all the other countries I've not been to before)
- make ketchup. I've made mayonnaise, butter, kaya, paneer, and I'm pretty sure a lot more other things from scratch. How hard can it be to make ketchup?
- wear a white wedding dress for my second wedding. Haha well first I'd have to meet someone and want to get married again, but I missed out on the white wedding dress experience the first time round. I think I'll be more involved when it comes to planning my second wedding. Lol.
- ride a horse and gallop across the countryside. Not trotting around in circles or being led by someone across the beach. I want the real deal.
- live on my own. Interestingly, I've never lived on my own before. Need to work out the finances though.
- work and live overseas. It's going to be such an experience to live overseas, to immerse yourself in the culture of another country. This will probably be a hard one for me, seeing how it took me 6 years to apply for my citizenship. How am I going to settle any of the paperwork needed to get the necessary visas and stuff? Lol.
- buy property. At least have a home to call my own.
- pull out a tapioca by it's roots. And if I get the chance, carrots and potatoes too. Lol.
- have a pet snake and a puppy. (Not necessarily at the same time). I've owned quite a number of rather bizarre pets, the weirdest one being a snapping alligator turtle (or was it the Madagascar hissing roaches? Hmm) , and somehow I've always been oddly fascinated by reptiles. And yes, I know a puppy is not a reptile. Lol.
- dive and see 1. a whale shark 2. manta rays 3. mola mola 4. barracuda tornado 5. hammerheads. Actually, I'd just like to pick up diving once again. It's been too long!
- reproduce and have little bonbons. According to Kumar, the leaf reader, I'll have 2 kids. Yay!
Hehehehe I'm sure there are more. Shall think about it and add on if they come to mind. *grin*

Life Handbook
1. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
2. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
3. Don't over do. Keep your limits.
4. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
5. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
6. Dream more while you are awake.
7. Envy is a waste of time You already have all you need.
8. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
9. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
10. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
11. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
12. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
13. Smile and laugh more.
14. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
15. Call your family often.
16. Each day give something good to others.
17. Forgive everyone for everything.
18. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
19. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
20. What other people think of you is none of your business.
21. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your family and friends will. Stay in touch.
22. Do the right thing!
23. Always speak the truth even if it leads to your death.
24. GOD heals everything.
25. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
26. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
27. The best is yet to come.
28. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.
29. Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy

It's Really Simple
Let us remember that all we need is to do is visualise how we'd like things to be, and have faith that everything will take care of itself and fall into place.
Happiness, joy, laughter, love, money, health, travel.. Let us have an abundance of all these :)
Thanks! xoxo

Blog Stalker!
Not that we object to having fans but JUST TELL US WHO YOU ARE.
Having An Attitude Of Gratitude
I'm pinching this phrase in my subject header from Anthea. Here's something I thought was really nice and worth sharing, grabbed from http://www.chookooloonks.com/blog/2009/10/1/love-thursday-everyday-joy.html.
1. Living a joyful life is not about living your life 24/7 in a happy state of mind. She says, and I think she's correct, that being happy all the time would be like living with a constant floodlight in your face -- ultimately annoying and downright exhausting. Instead, she says, living a joyful life is sort of similar to following the path along a string of twinkle lights -- that really, a joyful life is simply a series of happy moments, and that the trick to living a joyful life is being gratefully in the moment when you are experiencing a happy time; and then, when you're experiencing a down time (the space between the first twinkle light and the next), you live in the present knowledge that the down time, too, shall pass, and another happy moment is just around the corner. Also,
2. Joy and gratitude are inextricably intertwined -- true joy is impossible without gratitude.
..
Let us remember to always have an attitude of gratitude.
xoxo
For the joys I have, let me share
Let my friends share the joy that I am feeling now - that they may be as blessed as I have been this past week. Pretty please ... over and out!

Sometimes we can't help but feel scattered, unsure of what we want and what to do. At times like this, please give us focus and clarity of mind, so that we are able to see things for what they really are and make decisions that are good for us. Actually, just let us be able to make decisions that are good for us no matter what, the clarity can come later. Lol.
Thanks :)

What's green and big and angry?
When we look into our confused selves, we often retreat outwards. Out of fear, of denial, perhaps shame. Are we really such howling messes? It can't be. Not happy, shiny us! So we continue running in circles around ourselves, hoping to keep it together, hoping it'll pass, hoping noone sees.
But at some point, you kinda have to sit still. Let it out, show your inner Hulk (or any random tormented superhero you think you are). Let whatever colours you really have in you shine. And so what if you're green and not following the rules?
So. Am going to stop running in circles. I'm not sure where to go next. In squares? But that's ok. Cos must learn to sit still mah. Allow my inner Phoenix to come out. Hopefully I don't commit genocide like the actual Phoenix did.
Dear Universe, Just one wish (for me and Bon). That whatever decision we make, it will always turn out well. And that everyone stays happy and healthy and full of joy.

it's uncanny
Dear Universe,
Bon's asked for me to blog our msn conversation. So in a nutshell, she's totally repeating the same things I said last year. Sometimes verbatim. This means she is repeating my life in 2008 and will hence have a damn good time travelling and erm shagging that boy. However this also MAY mean that she's going to repeat whatever I do henceforth. So much for life bringing surprises. So now she has even more incentive to make my life stupendously amazing.
So please, seriously. A stupendously amazing life. With stupendously amazing men (one each, or if Bon wants more than one, er she can ask you), stupendously amazing travels (even more stupendous than now), stupendously amazing people to hang out with, stupendously amazing happiness and love in our lives, stupendously amazing families (which they are), stupendously amazing houses, stupendously amazing friends, stupendously amazing foods, stupendously amazing work that we find easy to do (if we choose to work). All in all, stupendously amazing abundance, so we'd be ridiculously happy.
Thanks! XOXO

Thank you for wonderful friends, for travel opportunities and for lots of fun and laughter in our lives.

Sniffle Sniffle
But it's alright. Haven't been down with anything since 2007 and it is rather interesting to feel all weak and weary. I was looked after by a bumbling bull in a china shop, who fed me the wrong foods (spiced beans and durian during a fever, cough and flu may work in an Indian household, but perhaps our delicate chinese stomachs need plain porridge and soy sauce lol) and gave me little rest.
Well my dear universe, I don't need your help to get well. My body's army of white blood cells are standing in attention and are aiding me as I type. And all that Vit C!
What I do need help with is the bull, who can maim with his thoughtless kindness. Give me a sign, maybe another sign (apologies if I missed it. I can be so dense). That what I'm doing is right.
Thanks much.
XOXO

10 Things I Am Grateful For
==
So here are 10 things I'm grateful for. Big and small.
1. My blanket. Love how it keeps me warm when I'm cold. I'm all wrapped up now. Hehehe.
2. My wifi enabled phone. Having wifi was one of the things I insisted on when I was shopping for a phone. Didn't use it much initially, but am using it much more now.
3. Good food in my life. Singapore is really a glutton's paradise and I love being able to eat such a variety of food. Slurp. And having family and friends who cook well too? Best.
4. A roof over my head. A place to call home.
5. A close knit family. I know a lot of people aren't very close to their families but I'm so so so so so thankful that I am. And it's not just my immediate family, but extended family like aunties, uncles and cousins.
6. Wonderful traveling companions. It's not easy to find people that you enjoy traveling with, and I think it's amazing how good a time the 4 of us have when we travel together. It helps that we're all pretty easy going (read: lazy) and don't fluster easily. Lots of laughter on our trips.
7. My camera. Sosososo glad I brought my camera on this trip, otherwise we'd have no pictures. Lol. Plus I never have to worry about charging my batteries since it's powered by AA batteries.
8. A job I'm happy at with a boss I like and respect. Sure, my boss is leaving but I'm glad I had the opportunity to find out what it's like to work under a good boss.
9. Free accommodation in NY if I go in the next three years! One good thing that came out of my boss' resignation. Lol. I'll save a bomb!
10. Wanderlust. Notice how there's an exclamation point only in the item about an upcoming trip? Lol. I'm glad I am curious enough to want to see the world, and that I have the means to.
Practice for the New Millennium by the Dalai Lama
1. Spend 5 minutes at the beginning of each day rememberingwe all want the same things (to be happy and be loved)and we are all connected to one another.
2. Spend 5 minutes breathing in, cherishing yourself; and, breathing outcherishing others. If you think about people you have difficulty cherishing, extend your cherishing to them anyway.
3. During the day extend that attitude to everyone you meet. Practice cherishing the "simplest" person (clerks, attendants, etc)or people you dislike.
4. Continue this practice no matter what happens or what anyone does to you. These thoughts are very simple, inspiring and helpful. The practice of cherishing can be taken very deeply if done wordlessly, allowing yourself to feel the love and appreciation thatalready exists in your heart.

Happiness Redux
Ok. My entry on 2nd Jan 2009 said:
Everyone I know and care about will find love, joy & happiness this year.
It also says P.S. Scuba Bunny's birthday is Oct 7. (Because she is a present-whore and wants me to remember to buy her something)
It also says P.P.S. Oi, my wish includes me hor.
Happiness
Everyone I know and care about will find true happiness and contentment this year. There will be much joy and laughter in my life and in the lives of the people around me. I will make a positive impact in the lives of the people that I love and care about.
And of course, this image is very apt. It's my current wallpaper, haha.
My CEO Should Thank My Purple Notebook
My CEO thanked us for great registration numbers yesterday. What he should have said was, "Thank you, LGG's little purple notebook." Because I wrote on 16 Jan, when numbers were, erm dismal, that we'd get to X number. Was having an off-day, and decided to care about work.
Now all I need is for all the rest of my work to be magically finished by today, so I can go to Que Pasa for wine & frilly cheese tomorrow in peace.
XOXO
